Hi guys!

I'm looking to make some money cause I'm totally skint and was wondering if you guys would be interested in buying any of the following:

* Home-made friendship bracelet
* Pony bead bracelets (or packs of loose desired pony beads)
* Scoubidou-style key rings, phone charms and mini pens
- loads of different colours available!
* Custom pin badges - just tell me what image you want and I can make it for you!

I'm off work sick for the forseeable future and need this as something to do as well as making money!!

For anyone who remembers, i applied to go to the HMRC group conference for the union as a trainee delegate..... well i found out yesterday i got picked!!!

YAY!!!!!

It's all the way down in Brighton, at Hove City Hall in may! I go on Sunday 13th and come back on Weds 16th (meaning since conference closes at lunchtime on the 15th, i get a whole afternoon on my own in Brighton!

WOOOOOOOO!!!!

I'm so excited its silly!!!

ok here they are! i know the colouring is crap, but i've only got coloured pencils at the moment. I have to say for my first attempt i impressed myself a bit! (oh and i have never been able to draw hands!)

Hey guys!

I havent made a post in weeks! Loads has gone on, mum is home and well settled, and doing great! Work is going really well, I am really getting involved with the union which is great! Had my christmas decorations for a fortnight in my own house! wooo! so exciting! Erm, not sure what else is going on... ooh i'm getting another pair of Vans for my birthday in 3 weeks, but i cant decide which ones i want! I'm also trying to decide on a new perfume. I need something thats a little more 'adult' than tommy girl and not as sweet as JLo Miami Glow. I was thinking Armani or Versace, something along those lines... what do you guys think??

my mum was given the all clear yesterday! Cos she only managed 2 sessions of chemo, there is a greater chance the cancer may come back later, but for now its all gone :) She's going home next week, back to her own home with lots of carers and support, but she'll be home!!! x

Just posting to let you all know i'm still here!

Had a busy few days... mum's been moved back to the royal hospital cos of dehydration and malnutrition (she hasnt been eating and drinking enough) but she's better than i've seen her in weeks!!!

Nothing much else has been going on though, the ratties are fine, Rincewind is sitting on my shoulder right now watching me typing probably wondering when i am going to give him a treat! They seem to be getting more and more into a routine... the know we are going out on a morning cos they are at the side of the cage waiting for james to give them a choc drop each and they know they get their food every night at 10pm... bless them!!!

well off to pick james up from work... let me know how you all are!!

Mum stood up today, for a whole minute! When I went in she was sitting in the chair eating a chip butty with brown sauce. She didnt want to finish it so we got her into the wheelchair and i took her outside for a little bit. When we came back in we decided it would be fun to put her wig on, even though her hair is starting to grow back. Then the physio came and we went down to the big therapy room (mums friend arrived at that point). They used this big wooden thing that they kind of strapped her to, and made her stand up for a whole minute! She was so proud of herself! Hopefully they can do the same tomorrow!

am bored. James started college tonight so i am in the house on my own. Got my hair done today. the pink has all gone, its all black and shiny and cosmic blue now :)
Dunno what to do, have to wait for the washing machine to finish then I can put the clothes out to dry. can't decide what to make for tea, either chicken korma, spag bol or pasta bake... probably chicken korma. Ooh we got tickets for Dirty Pretty Things, but its not till december. Want to see Less Than Jake again in november (will be the 7th time) but have to wait till pay day to get tickets.

gah can you tell i'm bored?? Come on people, give me news!!! I have a whole week off work, am going to spend it with my mum in hospital she's doing well, took her out in the wheelchair today they have some pretty flowers in front of the hospital, unfortunately its also in front of the adjoining hospice. dont like seeing that place.

best be off, will maybe have a cappucino.

Here is a pic of me at a cancer awareness event i took part in last week at work. The BWAC (the branch women's committee of our union - if you remember i'm a rep!) held an awareness event selling badges and wristbands and handing out leaflets. this is me and Ricky, a member of the youth committee

i have just read about the rape at Leeds fest during Arctic Monkeys. We used that toilet block around that time. It makes me feel pysically sick. James is never letting me out his sight at leeds anymore!

back from leeeeeds!

was probably the second best one I have been to! (the best of course being the first...) went a bit mad, danced like a loon, ate a lot of chocolate and banana pancakes, james bought me a pink flowery honcho and getting soaked during muse being the main highlights....

best band of the weekend????? LESS THAN JAKE!!!!!

p.s. got back yesterday to find my mum is doing really well... gonna be in hospital for a long long time but she is picking up!!!

To take my mind off all the crap that is happening at the moment, I have been deep in thought about where my academic future is going. For those of you that know me, I was planning to go back to Sunderland Uni in september 2007 to do my Masters in Film and Culture part time, so I wouldnt have to give up work. I have since been looking at Newcastle Uni for the Masters course, and then thought maybe I was rushing into that, not knowing if I could cope with full time employment and university study. Which leads me to my current dilemma... I have decided that I am most likely going to do a course with the Open University. I could do a Masters in Film, or I could be really brave and do another Batchelors in English Language and Literature. Therefore, giving me two BA's in 2 different subjects, or I could have an MA in a subject I know well...

what do you guys think??

after the worst week ever, I have now got a new toy to cheer myself up...

James bought the first series of Rome on DVD, using the joint account, so I got to buy something of around the same value!! YAY!!!

Plus I just want to say a big thankyou to

icklefairy for being a really good friend through such a rough time, I really appreciate it hun :)
